Accessibility Statement

Our Goal

We want everyone who visits our site, or the websites of our clients to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

To help us ensure a positive experience for everyone, we’ve begun to implement the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the websites we build. 

By ensuring a Level AA accessibility conformance, we allow for assistive technology such as screen readers, braille displays, plugins, and browser extensions to add further functionality needed by the individual user.

How are we doing?

So far, we have built a number of websites that are considered to be WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant, and we are actively working on more of them. 

When we take on projects where accessibility is a priority for the client, we commit to building websites that are WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant.

A series of our older websites features still require improvements to bring them up to the standard. We are actively working towards compliance for active clients of TRU Venture Marketing.

What are we doing?

At TRU Venture Marketing we are committed to ensuring a good experience for all users, and we have taken several measures to achieve this:

  • We have named and trained a key employee responsible for driving accessibility efforts. 
  • We have stated our commitment to accessibility in internal employee policies. 
  • We offer accessibility training to all employees
  • We are developing an internal design system of reusable components that will be holistically tested for accessibility
  • We use SiteImprove to test accessibility for projects we commit to making WCAG 2.1 compliant. 
  • We have accessibility professionals contracted to conduct adhoc manual audits on accessibility
